I hate wasting good wood, so I’ve been sitting o I hate wasting good wood, so I’ve been sitting on some epic cutoffs from putter manufacturing for a few years. I got the idea to try custom bag tags, and after some R&D, I’m stoked with the end result! I’ve got a handful of bag tags available on my website, ready to engrave your name and course or company logo. Perfect for gifts too! There’s nothing quite like capturing an epic lan There’s nothing quite like capturing an epic landscape on the bottom of a Bradley Putter. When you’re looking for a Christmas gift for the golfer who has everything, reach out and see what we can come up with together. To match this gorgeous scene, I first split the image into separate color areas. I engrave them one at a time, and then fill the area with a UV resin. Once I’ve got the swirls and colors just right, I cure it with a UV flashlight to lock it in place. One of the trickiest parts is lining everything back up for the next engraving!
Eric wanted a putter that incorporated his family Eric wanted a putter that incorporated his family crest and cherry blossoms, with a Japanese theme. So we decided on a Shou Sugi Ban top, which I had to carefully burn and then clean of ash without disturbing the delicate flakes. So I pulled a vacuum on the clear acrylic, but then flushed that dirty acrylic off and poured fresh acrylic on for the actual cure. This worked perfectly. I then carved into the acrylic and charcoal with a dremel to reveal the cherry wood underneath so that it looks like branches, and then engraved blossoms on top, with his family crest centered. 350 grams, ready to be a stunning gamer. I’m shipping off 8 putters today, and only have 5 I’m currently working on, which I will be finishing up in a week or so. Just about the slowest summer I’ve had in a long time. That’s been kinda nice with all the travel and family schedule we’ve had, but now that kids are back in school, I’m ready to take on a lot more! Christmas usually gets pretty busy, so if you’re wanting to get on my books for an epic gift, would you consider starting something this week? This engraving on the bottom has hidden kids initials, as well as a small lady bug and bumble bee to match the nicknames. There’s stamping initials into metal, and then there’s a Bradley.

Happy lefty day! There are dozens of us. DOZENS! Happy lefty day! There are dozens of us. DOZENS! I spent my whole life struggling to find lefty equipment. That’s why I made sure that my putters could always be made for lefties! Fun fact, around 11% of golfers in the US are lefty, but it seems like closer to 30% of Canadians are lefty thanks to hockey.

how do you commemorate your time at college? I had how do you commemorate your time at college? I had a client send me small piece of brick from a walkway at the University of Texas to use in a putter. We crushed that and embedded it as the alignment line. For the overall look, we went with a mesquite wood and a burnt orange acrylic. Then on the bottom, I engraved the UT tower. Converting that building to a workable design took weeks, but I finally got it right! Went heavy with this one, at 385 grams. There’s no cooler way to show off your colors than a Bradley Putter. Every project starts off with a phone call where we brainstorm ideas that will tell your story. Then once I start on the project, you get picture updates every step of the way. If you’re wanting a putter by Christmas, now is a great time to start!
Kevin wanted a putter made to remind him of his go Kevin wanted a putter made to remind him of his good boy, Freddie. He had a picture of his paw print, so we decided to put that on the bottom. For the top alignment, I thought we could put a stick since they loved to play fetch together. It turned out that Kevin still has the very last stick they played with, so I took the outline of that and engraved it on top. It’s not always fancy artwork and stunning visuals that make a putter special. Sometimes, it’s just the simple love between a man and his dog. Rest in peace, Freddie.
I was asked to make a wedding present for a brothe I was asked to make a wedding present for a brother who is working on the Europa Clipper spacecraft project. We knew this putter was destined to be a wall hanger in the office, so I went extra artsy with it. For the top, we wanted to use the magnetic field image of the Europa Clipper spacecraft. The only problem was that the picture we had was pretty low resolution, so I had to find and reach out to the original creator of it. After several emails, I finally got approval and the source document from the rocket scientists on the project. I then engraved that image on a white swirl background, and covered it with clear acrylic. For the bottom, we wanted to incorporate this retro-futuristic poster. I separated each color into a different layer, and then engraved and filled them one at a time. Tedious, but so worth it for the final result!
I always love getting the chance to embed somethin I always love getting the chance to embed something special in a putter. My client for this project sent in this cross, which worked perfectly as the alignment line. They also provided a specific dragon artwork, and I engraved it onto the bottom. I first tried doing it all in one pass, but the green and black ended up looking too blurry together, so I went back and added a black layer to crisp up the image. I also love the chance to make a lefty putter! All too rare these days. I’m working on getting the last batch of putters finished up and shipped off, which means I’m taking August orders now! Projects take anywhere from 1-3 months depending on complexity, so if you’re thinking of an epic Christmas gift, it’s not too early, especially for something as custom as this! Don’t feel like you need to come to me with a perfectly planned putter. I’ll ask all the questions and provide tons of ideas for it. You just need to know a bit about the person you’re buying for, and I’ll take care of the rest!

I found this piece of wood that looks like a sandy shore, and then carved natural shapes to make it feel more “beachy.” When we’re embedding something this cool, it doesn’t need a whole lot of other engraving to be special!
There are times when a story calls for a fancy, de There are times when a story calls for a fancy, detailed design. But when your grandpa was a carpenter, it can be beautifully simple. My clients sent me walnut and pine from his workshop, as well as a pilot drill bit for the alignment line. I love the symbolism of the tool that their grandpa used to align holes in his furniture is now aligning their putts on the green. And it’s not just beautiful, it’s also a gamer meant to be played on the course, helping tell the story of their family for generations to come. This putter is simply beautiful. It’s an ocean d This putter is simply beautiful. It’s an ocean design, with a palm tree logo alignment line. I poured the blue acrylic most of the way up the wood, and then used white UV acrylic to add the waves after hand carving in a 3d effect. Then I topped it off with a clear acrylic pour. There’s 7 internal weights inside to make this putter feel and perform like a dream, so it’s definitely not meant to be a wall hanger! What ideas do you have for your future putter?
The local food bank is named @raptorcreekfarm, aft The local food bank is named @raptorcreekfarm, after a Coopers Hawk that lived in an oak tree on the property. That tree recently fell over, so they sent me wood from it. I turned it into a putter, and then engraved a Cooper’s hawk onto the bottom. There’s a lot of blending that has to happen to get the feathery look just right, but it turned out just the way I wanted!
My best friend from college owns a large pet store My best friend from college owns a large pet store chain in Canada, and recently merged with another company, which is family-owned. He wanted to give them all a special thank-you gift, so he reached out to me. He knew he could get some wood from their original store and thought about making putters from that, but it was soft and relatively boring wood. So we came up with the idea of using gorgeous wood, and inlaying that original wood as a logo on the bottom, with the alignment on top in the shape of the A in their name. To make the inlay work, I first have to engrave a relief on the white wood, and then a depression on the darker wood. Then I line them up, epoxy it in place, and sand off the cap. Works like a charm!
I was asked to make a putter for a marine, and we I was asked to make a putter for a marine, and we wanted to honor his fallen brothers. So I used a green tip bullet as the alignment line (after popping the primer to make it inert), and then engraved the soldier’s names around the sides, with a design reminiscent of the Vietnam memorial. Then I put the eagle globe and anchor on the bottom, with his name and rank. It doesn’t get any more meaningful than this. I love when a putter gives a chance to share the memory of our greatest heroes. Gone, but never forgotten. Semper Fidelis.
My client for this project wanted to give their da My client for this project wanted to give their dad something special, and mentioned that he’s had 7 holes-in-one. They were all on different courses, so I had him send me the list and I tracked down each layout. Two of the holes were on a course that doesn’t even exist anymore, so I had to go back in time on google earth, then find an old scorecard and measure the holes to determine which was which. Then once I had all the shapes, I had to turn them into a course design that actually flowed, with water in the right spots relative to each green. Took a couple hours just for that! But the final result is something that I’m really proud to show off, and I’m sure will lead to countless stories on the golf course. My books are open for summer projects! Every putter starts with a phone call, because ideas this good just don’t happen over email. My client didn’t call up with the idea to put the holes on the bottom of this putter. He just knew that he wanted a putter for his dad. Through our conversation, we came up with this idea together. So don’t feel like you need to have much figured out at all before setting an appt with me!

For the bottom, I took an image from their villa and incorporated their kids onto the soccer field, with a gorgeous sunset in the background. The overall look is fine art, but the location and details are what make it priceless for my client. I just shipped off some of my oldest projects and have room on the books for summer putters!
